The “lune” is a form of poetry, originally created by english-speaking poets frustrated with the rules of the Japanese haiku. The common lune follows a defined structure either based on word count (3-5-3) or syllable count (5-3-5), the latter of which is used in the following poems. I have termed these “dilunes” because each work consists of two lunes separated by a word or short phrase running vertically between them.
About These Pieces
These pieces were created using words cut from the pages of an old dictionary. The dilunes are quite small; they do not exceed 6″ in width or 2″ in height.
